When you’re building your twitter following it’s important to be able to un-follow people to free up space to get more interested followers.
That makes sense, right?
If you’ve been building twitter as aggressively as I have you will know exactly what i’m talking about. This process certainly gets harder as your list starts growing exponentially and you start getting thousands of followers who are just dying to read your every tweet.
New twitter software is springing up literally every day. I’ve used the following recourses that have served me well in my growth in the twittersphere. Each serves its own unique function through the different growth fazes you will experience in building a massive following on this platform.
This tool is perfect for a new twitter user, (or a new twitter account). You can actually see your followers and the people who have chose not to follow you. When I used this tool I would start by un-following people who did not have a picture on their profile. If you’re using the twitter background for your photo you don’t take it seriously enough and I want nothing to do with you : ) It is time consuming because you have to go through and select or de-select one follower at a time. After a few hundred followers this tool basically becomes useless.
This tool has served me well! When you follow 300 people per day you need a fast tool that will wipe out all of your un-followers quickly. Again… to free up space for tweeps who follow you and are actually interested in what you have to say. I would still be using this tool if it weren’t for a significant set back that have just recently (a couple days ago) found a solution to. When you get past 6,000 or 7,000 followers this tool becomes ineffective. However, if your between 2 and 6 thousand followers it works like a charm and I highly recommend it.

This tool is the amazing! When Twitter Karma (Un-Follow tool #2) started crapping out on me because it could not handle the number of followers I have I began scrambling for a tool that could compare to it. I almost gave up. I was constantly asking my twitter audience if they knew any tools that served the same purpose. I got nowhere for months. My twitter growth had come to a complete stop for close to a month. NOT GOOD!!
I was on a twitter marketing webinar for my primary business when a colleague of mine, Charles Montgomery introduced to this amazing recourse. I unfollowed about 600 people in a matter of a few minutes and I was back to seeing massive twitter growth. This recourse was a godsend to my marketing and my social media presence!
